MASON MAYNARD
UK
With a scene as vast in Manchester there are few young emerging artists that have secured the support and backing from some of the biggest names in the industry like Mason.
Mason Maynard continues to cement his reputation as one of dance music’s fastest rising talents. Backed by the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard and BBC Radio 1’s Monki, who bestowed the accolade of ‘One To Watch’ upon the Manchester-born DJ, the 22 year old producer continues to go from strength to strength. With Danny snapping up Mason’s huge record ‘Puffy’ to his Nothing Else Matters label, Mason released his ‘13th Street’ EP (supported by Jamie Jones) on Solardo’s Sola Record imprint, and touring the country as the official resident of the ‘Solardo Sessions’ tour.
Performing at the likes of Hideout, The Warehouse Project, and The Hangar at Parklife – where an enthusiastic crowd of 15,000 were in attendance in his hometown, Mason Maynard’s burgeoning career so far has seen the Briton unleash collaborations with the likes of Green Velvet and Lee Foss, and productions on esteemed labels like Cajual, Repopulate Mars, Defected and Relief Records; garnering support from industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Lee Foss, Skream, Richy Ahmed, Patrick Topping, Claude Von Stroke, Hot Since 82, and Carl Cox, with the latter dropping Mason’s productions in his essential mix.
Recognised for the extreme weight of his blistering productions at such a tender age, Mason was also tipped by Seth Troxler as a future star. With the producer facing a busy summer 2018 ahead, Mason will take his groove-packed tones to Ibiza, with several dates at Eric Prydz’s residency at Hi Ibiza, as well as Solid Grooves (Privilege) and a performance at ABODE at Balearic super-club, Amnesia.
Performing a number of shows through the tail end of 2018, including slots at SW4, Reading & Leeds Festival, and the Warehouse Project, Mason will embark on his debut Australia & New Zealand tour this September, continuing his meteoric rise through the industry.
