Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr aka Stefano Miele has released on the most esteemed underground labels, like Dirtybird or Saved. His forthcoming album ‘Definition Of Sound’ will hit us soon on Cajual Records. His recent EP and remixes for Defected saw him returning to his South Italian roots of dirty old skool underground House Music with a portion of funk and he continues this direction with his new offering on Hot Creations.
Title track ‘Dippin’ Side’ is an ultimate club banger, that is able to fill floors within some seconds of play. Techno god Joseph Capriati’s remix should be checked out carefully as well, as it is a skillfully stripped back deep end roller that is a real grower too. ‘Owls and Toucans’ is my personal favourite, a collaboration with Haiku 575, playing with trippy synths over heavy percussions. Watch out for the killer break, it makes the crowd go nuts! Heavy!
